Guerinda La Roya Spain

The Maximo Abete winery presents the new vintage of Guerinda La Roya, a very interesting Spanish white wine from Do Navara The wine is produced from a local clone of Grey Grenache  (Garnacha Gris) indigenous to the Baja Montaña area in Navarra. Known as Roya, the variety is in the process of being recovered for wine production.The grapes come from a single parcel, planted with 35-year-old organically farmed vines and situated at 650 metres of altitude.

Crisp and linear, but not bone dry, this wine of Máximo Abete is rather intense and very elegant, with focus, freshness, and a rock-solid acidity. Ripe white fruit, remembrances of ginger, rosemary and lime, and some mineral hints. Long finish.
