Cline Chardonnay 2020

This Chardonnay comes from Cline's Lazy C vineyard in Sonoma's Petaluma Gap, where cool Pacific fog aids in slow grape ripening. The vineyard is ideal for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, preserving acidity. Hand-picked grapes are destemmed, with the wine aged in French oak for three months, 25% in new oak, adding vanilla and toast notes. Without malolactic fermentation, the wine remains crisp and dry, featuring pineapple, citrus, and a smooth oaky finish. It pairs well with shellfish, chicken, and pork. Cline Cellars, owned by Nancy Cline, maintains ties with her Irish ancestors from County Cork and County Armagh.
