Altos Las Hormigas Malbcec 2020

A very expressive and intense wine with opulent flavours of the blueberries, blackberries and plums. Its exciting, juicy and vibrant! Made in stainless steel and then aged in concrete, the wine is all about capturing the ‘taste of the vineyards’. There is no oak here making it soft and very easy to drink. You can enjoy this without food, but would be beautiful with a steak and chips.

This wine is a collaboration between 2 friends Alberto Antonini and Antonio Morescalchi and vineyard mapping and soil expert Pedro Parra. They have become pioneers of the more elegant, interesting styles of malbec, using indigenous yeasts and low intervention practices in both the vineyard and winery. Their combined experience and constant experimentation has made them one of the top producers of the malbec variety.
