This Alsace Riesling opens clear and nicely aromatic, with smoky flavours and white-stone fruit and lemon. It is a finessed and salty dry wine revealing good freshness, grip and tension on the palate. Round and elegant.

Outside of the Mader winery is a sign that says “Nos vins sont secs” (Our wines are dry). A statement of intent from Jerome, who took over the family farm in 2005. It is made from 10% de-classified Grand Cru land from the great Rosacker vineyard. The wine is a blend from several sites of mostly limestone-based soil.
