Jaramillo Coffee Estate, a family-owned business farming coffee fields for more than four generations. Their sustainable farming practices allow them to cultivate their passion for agriculture while caring for their environment and fostering the biodiversity of their land. The business is rooted in the agricultural village of Boquete, located in the highlands of the Chiriquí province or “Valley of The Moon” in the Isthmus of Panamá.
Finca Jaramillo is in the region of Jaramillo Arriba, just 5 minutes away from downtown Boquete. We cultivate 100% Arabica Beans, Typica and Caturra varietals at +1350m and Geisha varietal at +1500m.
To continue farming the land, their most precious legacy. One that tells the story of farmers with great love and respect for the land as well as dedication for the arduous agricultural labor.
To maintain the diversity of their native shade trees, which are a crucial environmental asset needed for the development of specialty coffee, and act as a natural bridge facilitating movement of resident and migratory birds in their region. To offer employment to +50 coffee pickers from the indigenous Ngäbe Buglé community, impacting hundreds of families that year after year come to Finca Jaramillo seeking the economic support needed for the development of their families and communities.
The generational succession of their fields is possible due to their family commitment to maintain a sustainable production system, the continuous maintenance of their soil, the adequate nutrition of their crops and the genetic selection of their seeds.
At Jaramillo Coffee Estate Each Coffee Bean Matters!
